What: last week we went to the Library, on Friday we did Seed 2 Table, we had a Powhiri, we have been writing narratives on a website called Storybird,we have been learning Fractions in maths, we played Flags against Lou’s class(we won!!), we started to make some space art and we now have a student teacher named Rhys, We got another episode of Street Talk out!!!

So What: Last week I learnt how to make a improper fraction into a proper fraction, I learnt that it would take a bullet 18 years to travel from earth to the sun, I learnt where all the good books are at the Library.

Now What: Now I am going to work on getting all my work done by Friday. I will achieve this goal by not talking to anyone and be focused. I want to get 10/10 in my spelling this week. I will achieve this goal by practicing every night!! Also I want to be a good speaker in the assembly this week!!

What: Last week on Thursday we did the Cross Country. We did two and a half laps of the course, it was about 2.5 k. The course was really hard! I came second place last year and this year I came third place out of the year 6 girls!

So What: Last week I learnt how to write a narrative. A narrative is a story that is not true but you have to set the scene, have a problem or two and then some how the characters fix the problem and then last you have to have an ending. The ending can be sad or happy. Also I learnt how to pass myself in the cross country because it is really long.

Now What: Next week I would like to work on getting 10/10 in my spelling. I will achieve this goal by working really hard at my home work at home!!

Last week we did the cross country. We trained for about 2 weeks before and I really think that it payed of! We had to do 2 and a half laps of the course and I think it was really hard! I came 3rd place! Here is some photos that Stephen took on the day!

In class last term we man Van Gough Chairs. It was heaps of fun! this is mine. Check it out, I hope you like it!

I made this poster of some of the strategies I have learnt on maths.

Plus: Went to Temanawa, Spent heaps of time with my family, brought some new winter clothes, Had heaps of fun with my friends, went to Jessie’s house, went to the Library, playing with my cute cats, having fish and chips nearly every day , Having a good laugh with my family.

Minus: An annoying brother, getting scratched by my cats heaps, finding heaps of things to take a photo of but not having a camera, missing my friends, being really board.

Interesting: Got a really great book, made a cardboard house, been on The Ins & Outs every day, meeting new people, trying on the awesome Russell Street School uniforms for basketball and netball, learning new things, landing 8 flips in a row, I watched the royal wedding, watching the same movie twice with the same friend.
